We’re so excited to celebrate with you in Italy!
As we’re getting married in the beautiful Umbrian countryside, we know there’s a little more travelling involved than your average wedding. So, we’ve put together everything you need to know about getting to the venue.
The good news is that once you arrive, we’ll take care of the rest!
We will be arriving on Thursday 16th September to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) and staying at Hotel Isola Sacra Rome Airport that night. Guests are very welcome to do the same if they would like to avoid an early start on the following day.
Getting there
Our Recommendation
We recommend flying into Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), as it offers the widest choice of flights. Castello di Montignano is located approximately 2 hours from Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO).
We will organise a private bus for guests to travel directly from Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Castello di Montignano for a small fee. When our RSVP page goes live, you will find a link to secure and pay for your seat. You are welcome to book the bus for a one way trip or a full round trip, whatever works best for your travel plans.
For guests taking the private bus from Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), we kindly ask that flights are chosen to arrive no later than 11:30 AM on Friday 17th September 2027 to allow adequate time for customs and baggage collection. The bus will depart promptly at 12:30 PM on Friday 17th September 2027.
Other Options
Car hire is available from the suggested airports. Castello di Montignano offers free parking for guests who wish to hire a car.
Perugia Airport (PEG) is located approximately 1 hour from Castello di Montignano. Please note that there are limited flights to Perugia Airport from the mainland UK.
Getting home / onward travel
We will organise a private bus for guests to travel directly from Castello di Montignano to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). The private bus will depart from Castello di Montignano at 11:30 AM on Monday 20th September 2027.
From Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) guests can travel home or choose to extend their holiday. Public transport, taxis and car hire are available from the airport.
